Community Partners
Applications to become a BAC Community Partner have now closed for this year.
BAC’s Community Partners scheme offers small groups or organisations free weekly space at BAC to run community-focused creative activities aimed at underserved or underrepresented communities within Wandsworth and surrounding boroughs.
Thanks to everyone that has expressed an interest in joining our partnership scheme. We’ll be in touch with applicants in the coming weeks.
Our Community Partners
575 Wandsworth Road was the home of Khadambi Asalache (1935-2006), a Kenyan-born poet, novelist and British civil servant who, prompted to disguise a damp patch in his basement, spent almost 20 years transforming his modest terraced house into a work of art. Today, his home has become a source of inspiration for collaborators and creatives of all ages, forging connections in the local community and working in partnership to open up engagement opportunities to this incredible place, far beyond its physical borders.

Baked Bean Charity is a performing arts charity for actors with learning disabilities, regularly producing work that shatters misconceptions and challenges society’s prejudice.

Homestart Wandsworth works with families to create an environment where young children can thrive. Home-Start’s preventative, early intervention approach acknowledges that every parent should have the support they need to give their children the best possible start in life. Through their home-visiting service and group activities, they provide tailored practical and emotional support to families who may be struggling with poor mental or physical health, isolation, postnatal depression or financial and housing difficulties, preventing them from slipping into crisis.
Hope in the Heart provides creative workshops for people with lived experience of mental health and associated issues, plus exhibitions and compassion-based training and events.
