Wandsworth Council and Battersea Arts Centre present:
Radio Local – Nine Elms
This September, the residents of Nine Elms joined forces with innovative performance artists Hunt & Darton to reimagine their upbeat show, Radio Local – a daily live broadcast that brought the stories of Nine Elms into people’s homes.
From local legends to unsung heroes, from the mundane to the extraordinary, Radio Local is a celebration of local radio and community. With stories captured over the phone, via Zoom workshops and through online local networks, this hyper-local radio broadcast captures the sound, humour and personality of the people of Nine Elms.
Radio Local ran from 7-13 September, 4pm – 5pm on Riverside Radio. All shows are available to listen to on the SoundCloud playlist below.
If you have listened to or taken part in Radio Local, please spare a few minutes to take part in Hunt and Darton’s survey.
