This event takes place in person in the Grand Hall.

A full day of choral celebration at Battersea Arts Centre. Events run all day from 11.30am and culminate in an evening performance in the Grand Hall at 6.30pm.

Twenty years ago, composer and jazz musician Will Todd premiered his “Mass In Blue”. Since then it has gone on to become a favourite of choirs and audiences around the world.

Battersea Sings will draw to a close with a performance of Mass In Blue, with Will Todd himself at the piano, alongside his trio and star soprano Hilary Cronin. The choir will be made up of members of Battersea Choral Society, the Festival Chorus, the Fulham and Hammersmith Choral Society, and many other choirs besides. In addition, the concert will features performances from Real Voices, who have established themselves as a South London powerhouse choir!

If you are a confident singer and would like to participate in this incredible concert, then you can! To sign up to perform Will Todd’s ‘Mass In Blue’ alongside members of several South London choirs, follow this link to buy a ticket to “come-and-sing”. Please note that rehearsal time is limited, and you will need to supply your own music.

Daytime Events

During the day on Saturday 14th October, Battersea Sings will include performances from ten wonderful choirs from south London, in spaces around Battersea Arts Centre. Come and support your favourite choir, or drop in and experience a feast of choral singing.

The Battersea Arts Centre cafe and bar will be open all day.

PRE EVENT INFORMATION

This event takes place in person in our Grand Hall. This space is on the ground floor, with step-free access via a lift.

If you have booked a ticket you will receive an email from us before your performance detailing important information about your visit.

PERSONAL ASSISTANT/COMPANION TICKETS

If you require the assistance of a friend or helper to attend, we can make a free ticket available for your companion. You can book access companion tickets online or contact the Box Office to book by emailing access@bac.org.uk.

Choose the performance, date and seats you would like and if you add at least 2 tickets to your basket, then one of these will automatically become free.

All performances will be Relaxed. We invite you to make yourself comfortable and move around if you need to and if you need to leave the performance at any point you will be allowed to return to the space when you feel ready.

We want our shows to be as accessible to as many people as possible.

We offer tickets to most shows on a Pay What You Can basis throughout the year.

Tickets for Council Chamber performances in 2026 start at £9.50, and we have recommended pricing to help you choose a price that works for you.

We know that ticket price is a huge barrier for some. If you can afford to pay the recommended price or more, choosing to do so supports those that can’t. It makes it possible for us to continue to offer Pay What You Can and welcome those who otherwise wouldn’t be able to attend.
