Inspired by the old Celtic folk tale, The Holly King and the Oak King, this brand-new festive adventure invites you on an unforgettable journey across the seasons.
Christmas is approaching but there isn’t a glimmer of frost in sight…
One hundred years ago, The Oak King, leader of summer defeated the Holly King, ruler of winter. It has been summer ever since and everyone is bored of eating ice cream! The world is out of balance and there has been no sign of change. Until now…
Will you join the quest to help The Holly King restore winter, and bring balance back to nature?
Follow performers on a magical dash through Battersea Arts Centre’s historic building. As the story unfolds through puppetry and performance, the whole family becomes part of the action in this theatrical trail with plenty of surprises along the way.
Created with award-winning immersive arts creators Wild Rumpus.
BAC would like to thank our The Holly King & The Oak King partner, Charles Holloway OBE, for his generous support.

Santa’s Grotto
Santa Claus is coming to town and making a scheduled stop at Battersea Arts Centre.
Setting up shop in our historic building, we’ve decked the halls and created a cosy nook for Old Saint Nick ready to meet your loved ones this festive season.
Little ones can share their Christmas wishes, get their name added to the nice list and receive a gift from Santa himself, creating lasting memories for the whole family this December.
