Town Hall Forum Event

Access All Areas (AAA) will create a Town Hall Forum Event alongside Back to Back Theatre’s “The Shadow Whose Prey the Hunter Becomes” at BAC. Held in the former Battersea Town Hall, the forum will explore how learning disabled people are (or aren’t) involved in decision making in society. It will model some creative ways to help learning disabled people have a leadership voice in how our society is run.

Before the forum Access All Areas artists will run workshops with learning disabled people in Wandsworth to find out how they feel included in and excluded from decision making processes. These discussions will be shared in the forum. The forum will be held in the former Battersea Town Hall, a historic site of radical politics that have excluded learning disabled people. There will also be artistic interventions and creative conversations on accessible decision making. The event will be an opportunity think about how the themes and issues in “The Shadow Whose Prey The Hunter Becomes” affect learning disabled people in England.
